Flame retardant hi vis vests like this Leo W08 offer flame spread protection to standards such as BSEN ISO 14116: 2008. This standard is meant to protect people against things such as small flames and small amounts of contact with ignition types of flame. It is meant to be protective when there is no other significant form of heat or high risk flammable materials that could cause a hazard. 

The fastening on this vest is a hook and loop velcro fastening on the front that is also made from a flame retardant material, the binding is made with the same colour flame retardant binding and the seams are covered to prevent flaming debris. it is finished off with a retromax FR flame retardant reflective tape that is wrapped over each shoulder and twice around the torso, thanks to this amount of reflective tape and colour it allows this hivis FR vest to conform to the standards of ISO 20471 Class 2.
