Black or Navy Hi Vis Clothing

Black or navy hi vis clothing or workwear is commonly worn by security guards, door staff, festival workers or staff that don't need to wear bright neon material to stand out. Black hi vis polo shirts and vests or jackets are not really hi vis in the true sense of the word that we have come to know, as the material is dark but with added reflective bands that we call "low vis clothing" meaning it does have reflective tape for the visibility in the stripes but isn't usually bright coloured and does not conform to EN ISO 20471.
You may see people like managers or supervisors wearing "low vis" black or navy with hi vis stripes that usually don't work in environments where en iso20471 hi vis is required such as near main roads or in busy traffic environments. These help make them stand out amongst other staff, so they are easily recognisable.
