How We See Colour

EXACT COLOUR...is a dirty phrase in the garment decoration industry  (fine on paper)

Have you ever wondered why and how we can't talk about "your" colours when we print ? and only want to talk about pantone references ?

Have you ever spoke to us and thought we are nuts when we say we cant take what you say about wanting your garment printing like the colour you see on "your computer screen" ?

What about when you have items printed and they dont look at what you expected that you seen on your screen or some dodgy website? Google images ? School poster even? 
the usual reason is you can never trust monitors, all screens display digital colours differently. so what may look bright green on Joe bloggs screen may look mid green on Joe Smiths screen

What about when you had the print done one a red item then on a black item and they look different ?? its very common due to our brillaint brains.

Why oh why do our proofs we send say...... "if you need to have specific colours  you must provide pantones and the only way to be sure is order a sample item ?"
